Premier glass for Premier Inn

T4 design were asked to provide glass for an exciting project led by glass and light artist Chris Wood.  Her brief was to create an effect using dichroic decorative glass that would be erected on the front wall of the Premier Inn in Cambridge.

Calling on its extensive experience of glass lamination, t4 design encapsulated a series of dichroic films between two layers of toughened glass. When put into position, the effect was amazing, with the glass throwing diverse coloured light over the side of the building, the patterns and hues changing as the sun tracked its way across the sky.

Chris Wood was extremely impressed with the outcome and, having witnessed the visual effects created by the light shining through the dichroic glass, simply said: "The glass you make for me was wonderful."
