Making an exhibition of ourselves - Decorex

Having worked closely with artist Carole Waller and designer Esma Lynch during a number of creative glass projects, t4 design was delighted to be asked to manufacture decorative glass products that would be shown at the luxury design exhibition Decorex 2013. The occasion presented the perfect opportunity for the company to showcase its products and processes in partnership with Carole's beautiful and creative bespoke designs, coupled with Esma's background in interior design and soft furnishings – with all three parties working together to conceive a stunning exhibition stand.

Before the show, Carole created six exquisite panels of hand painted and devoured silk in three vibrant contrasting colour ways.  One of each colour was hung as bespoke silk voiles, whilst the remaining three were laminated between glass panels to create a free standing and architectural decorative structure that allowed the transient light to highlight the hand painted details.

t4 design were proud to present Carole's work in this manner, as it graphically illustrated how versatile its glass products are and the number of applications they can be used for. Consequently, Decorex was a great success for Carole, Esma and t4 design and, as a result of the show, there are now some exciting collaborative projects in the pipeline.
